Kelp Hat

So moving along nicely in the hat series, I got inspired by the sea. Last summer I knitted actual seaweed and with the garden becoming overwhelming visually, I decided to knit a new hat with kelp...

Lovely baby kelp made of angora, the color was what inspired me, dangling gently from the top and swinging in the breeze.

Same base hat, I-cord finished with a bulb, stuffed with wool and embellished with three "ribbons". Turned out just as I visualized it, random lengh of seaweed cascading like a ponytail. Now what.....

I love your Kelp Hat. Any chance we'll be seeing a pattern for it?

Thank you very much. I am in the very long process of creating and writing patterns for sale. I will let everybody know when I am ready. Meanwhile I am just posting the pictures.
